Get to Know ECEM

Hi, I'm Si, Founder of Exsiting Creations Event Management LLC. I know how to make event management look seamless on the outside, but let me tell you, it's a completely different story behind the scenes!

I never set out to become an Event Manager. In fact, for the longest time, when I thought about event planning, I only associated it with weddings. I had no idea there was an entire world of events beyond that!

My introduction to event planning happened almost by accident in 2007. What started as a desire to meet a need in the community grew into something I never expected. Whether I was working as an administrative assistant, office manager, or executive assistant, event planning continued to find its way into my responsibilities throughout my career.

Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with it. The moving parts, the challenges, the pressure of pulling everything together, and the satisfaction of watching all those details come together for a purpose. I discovered that I didn't just enjoy planning events. I genuinely loved the work behind making them happen.

Events bring people together, strengthen relationships, and create opportunities that extend well beyond the day itself. Do you know the amount of work happening behind the scenes to make those moments possible?

Most people would be surprised!

A little ECEM history

Exsiting Creations Event Management LLC began in 2010, originally as Exsiting Creations. My brother came up with the name, and yes, it's spelled that way on purpose! It's a play on exciting and my name, Si, because I put a little of myself into everything I do.

I planned social events before my professional career took me further into event management. The business took a back seat, but my experience grew to include multi-day meetings, exhibit openings, fundraisers, educational programs, and recognition events, with budgets up to $500,000.

I've been there

Even the best can use a little support

While working for a nonprofit, I was asked to lead the planning of a major multi-day event in addition to my regular event responsibilities.

Between committee meetings, room block management, vendor communications, and my other responsibilities, I worked late evenings trying to keep everything moving. And guess what? Sometimes I couldn't.

Some things fell short, and there were moments when I felt completely overwhelmed. And believe me, I was putting in the hours!

That experience reinforced something I've never forgotten: A great team can have the experience, dedication, and commitment to bring an event together, but that doesn't mean they have unlimited time.

Sometimes, another set of hands makes all the difference.

Why ECEM exists today

My professional career helped me discover what I love most about event management.

  • Not Decorating.
  • Not Choosing centerpieces.
  • Not Planning weddings.

It's the logistics, the behind-the-scenes operations, and the problem-solving that bring everything together.

So I rebranded Exsiting Creations to focus on event logistics for businesses and nonprofit organizations. I had a better understanding of who could benefit from my support.

Different roles. Different priorities. But one thing in common:

Your event matters. Your people matter. And both deserve the right support.

People matter. Details count.

ECEM isn't here to replace your team or take over your vision.

I'm here to work alongside you, bringing event logistics experience, open communication, and thoughtful recommendations that support your vision and enhance the attendee experience.

Will everything go exactly as planned?

Of course not. This is event management we're talking about!

But you can have a partner who understands the details, respects your team, and knows how to respond when plans change.

You've got a reason for bringing people together. Let's make sure you have the support to give that purpose the attention it deserves.

I'm Si, and I'd love to hear what you're working on.
